Runescape - Advert on TV!

I used to play this game years ago, when I was a child. It was good fun (repetition is fun y0!), but figured it had all but died out. However, I just saw an advert for the game on the TV so it's apparently doing rather well which shocks me.

Is anyone still playing this? Is it worth giving it another go? The shift to '3D' killed it for me.

Such a brilliant time sink :) Just a shame about the amount of bots.

It is definitely worth giving it another go, they are completely overhauling the outdated combat, the graphics are fantastic, and there is so much content!
 
Surprised at that, I started playing it as I started secondary school. Back then we were still on dial-up, I was a member for a while too.

Is it worth playing though?

Yes. There is a HUGE amount of content now. I've been playing this account for about 3 months, and have been comfortably playing without touching any quests yet, leaving those till I get at least 1 level 99 skill.

Edit: One thing I will say, is that if you are planning on putting a fair bit of time into it, get membership. It really is worth it for the amount you get :)
 
Never stopped playing it since 2004 really. But I rarely play it now, just come on during summer holidays etc. Got a lvl 132 with 10 99's.

Nice! Add me if you want, Shaypeshyft. Now that I have some cash I'm going to reactivate membership and start playing properly again :)
 
lol speaking of adverts for pc games, I just saw a advert for something called FORGE OF EMPIRES.

Was on the Quest channel!

I don't understand this mentality. Not an attack at you, don't worry :p

Most AAA games come out at about 40 quid, the story is short, and you end up paying extra for dlc etc.

Games like Runescape have a level of content that will entertain you for a very long time, and have a lot more content. I would much rather pay 3.50 a month for a lot of fun and entertainment than 40 quid for 6 hours of repetitive shooting. :)

Will do :) I think I've seen you around on one of my previous, were you in H4S, and/or recognise the name In The Shine? I may be completely mistaken :)
