Hey you, was wondering if it is possible to mount your phone in a nice way over wifi to a PC, I have seen a few apps that do these but it generally doesn't work so well and the interface was lame (connecting to URLs and so on).

Cheers :)

Airdroid is what I use, but if you don't like that, there's a way to mount using ES File Explorer, so you can view the files with Windows Explorer.

Open ES File Explorer, and on the top right press "Local". Choose FTP. Then press the menu button and then settings. Scroll down to Remote Settings, and tick "Remote Manage".

You'll now see the IP address of the phone. Open Windows Explorer on the PC and then enter the address. You can now access your phone files.

You can create a shortcut to this by right clicking "Computer" on the left, and adding network location. Follow the wizard and then it'll appear under "Computer" with your harddrives. You now have a shortcut to access your phone files whenever you want with Windows Explorer :).

It's a long way to setting it up but once that's all done all you need to do is start the app and click the shortcut in Windows in order to access your files.

Downloading airdroid now, the ES way is the same for the server we use at work so seems simple enough. Thanks for the great info :)

Edit: Airdroid is a really nice app :D cant believe my google search didnt bring it up.
