Jackie Chan

Films are legendary - for some reason the twin turbo Mitsubishi sticks in my head from armour of god - cant remember any of the film though!

my goodness how can you forget this :

iirc he had to start his own stunt insurance company because no one would insure him after a while :p

He can't get insurance period and that's why he will only use his own men and they all know what could happen.
He had to make a couple of films at one point with American fighters and they just didn't gel with him.

I recall I maybe wrong, JC saying he had to fly over one of his own stunt men cos the american guys were just kicking too slow.

Now thats some jackie chan right there !

When Im retired I want to one day just click on my compusuite and click amazon button and select Jackie chan entire collection for £9.99, and download instantly
and watch via my cerebal cortex.

He has a hole in the side of his head where he ran across a high wall and jumped on a tree but fell and hit his head on a brick.
I think that was the incident where he demanded his own people because they would have caught him at their own risk and not got out of the way.

I remember going every Tuesday nights to my mothers partners while she was at work to watch Rush Hour with a shandy hah I recently watched the Tuxedo I think I was expecting his old magic but I was slightly disappoint...

There was one film I cant remember the name but he drove a white Mitsubishi in it im sure, escaping from either the cops or baddies that was absolutely mind blowing as a kid :D

found it:

Not sure on anymore, but Shinjuku's actually really good. Caught it on BD from Lovefilm at the beginning of the year; it's much more serious than traditional Chan and virtually no martial arts. Basically a Yakuza drama about immigrants into Japan.

I've just watched Shinjuku and was disappointed.
Jackie Chan is for fighting, stunts & comedy so hopefully he doesn't stray up this path again.

I love Jackie Chan movies and I'm always switching over to them when they're on TV.

However, I think he recently stated he's retiring from starring in action movies as he's 'getting too old' for them. Good for him I say. Quit while he's at the top. I'd not want to see him embarrass himself trying to do action sequences like he's 20 years old.

I was more shocked than dissapointed, its a good film just not what i expected at all from Mr Chan.
