Surely that is just a temporary problem? Not a reason not to buy it while its on offer.

It is if that's indicative of the sort of service you'll get from Ubisoft. All the more reason to not get it and hope they figure out why people stayed away.

Folks... I want to buy Anno 2070... I saw some gameplay videos of it on Youtube but I dont get exactly what the game is about? Is it a City building type game (a la Sim City?)
Or is it more mission based?

Also I want to buy a Sins of a Solar game... but not sure whether to go for the trinity or rebellion game... any opinions folks?

Anno is very much a city builder - there are missions, but there are continuous games too where you can customise all of the games parameters and just play for as long as you want.

Thanks for the link.

Don't buy Anno 2070 because the servers of Ubisoft are broken and the game wont work.

They go down occasionally, but not for long. The only thing it really affects if creating an account. Hardly a reason "not to buy" IMO.

The Ubisoft DRM servers went down last night. Would imagine its a short term issue

May I ask what is the problem with the servers? This game only works when you are online?

The game works online and offline.

When the servers go down you just can't create an account, access stuff stored on your ark (not a big deal at all) and you can't participate in the global votes (again, hardly game breaking). Gamers just like to overreact. I really enjoyed the game and am glad I ignored these complaints.

It is a city builder. The single player campaign is mission based but very good at teaching you the basics of the game and fun too! There is no tutorial for the game- all the more reason to play the SP campaign. There is a continuous game mode which is not mission based and also multiplayer which is based on a scoring system.

Yes the ubisoft servers are currently down but is likely to be temporary. It also has tages DRM (activation limits) and you need to run uplay/ be connected to online servers to run the game with all features.

Bought anno 2070, fear 3 and dawn of war 2 with expansion packs. Loving all but anno 2070. Played it for 5 hours, then uplay crashed and then the game closed :( now i cant log back in... at first, i had trouble logging into the uplay but then it worked, now its down again :(

meeeeeehhhhhhh no comment.

Some people are going to be flat out broke by the time the sales have ended. We're not even on the third day of deals yet :P

So far spent:
Shogun 2 Collection
19.99 GBP
Orcs Must Die + Artifacts of Power and Lost Adventures
3.74 GBP

Total spent so far: £23.73

Not to bad, hoping Witcher 2 gets a 75% deal off at some point and that might be me done for the sales. I still have Dead Space 1 & 2, Supreme Commander 2 and Thief: Deadly Shadows from the last sales that I've not touched :)

well thats weird my steam is showing weird prices even if I click on the games own page. Right now I got civ 5 76% off but the orginal price £92 pounds and the same with batman :(

Dont know whats going on here as some other games are showing the correct price
