Hi all,

My Asus P6t has developed the common fault or not registering the full 6gb ram!

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=a...&sugexp=chrome,mod=3&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Common as well unfortunately, so as you can imagine it's left a rather sour taste with anything Asus!

After years of using Asus mobo's i'm debating trying someone else. What's the Gigabyte z77x ud5 like compared to the Asus p877-v Pro?

What's their tech support / warranty like these days? Asus just tell me to go back to the retailer i got my P6T from!!!

Cheers guys.

What RAM and CPU will you use in the new build??

If the P6T is under 3 years old start an RMA ticket with ASUS it has a three year warranty.

The losing of dimm slots is due to the board warping over time. Have you tried reseating the DIMMS and your cooler to fix the problem??

Was gonna go for the 3570k and Corsair Vengeance 1600 8gb.

I went through the Asus troubleshooting in their website and they say contact the reseller.

I've just reseated the ram and it's showing 6gb again.

Thanks for the tip though.

Well just when i thought it was ok, it's done it again. Tried reseating the cooler, but still the same.

I'll speak to the reseller tomorrow and see what they can offer.
