Any Seat Leon experts on here?

I have a 57 FR, the 170PD, currently on 110,000miles. I don't have any huge issues with the interior like so many others on here, it could definitely be better but the seats are some of the comfiest I've sat in.

I just purchased an 08 tdi fr550 and I'm surprised to see a lot of hate for the diesel FR's . I'm a week in and I think think it looks great and drives great. Economy is yet to be determined as my right foot is very heavy at the moment after using a 70bhp colt for two months....

It's a thirsty engine, there is no doubt about that.

I have a 2010 FR CRTDI 170 I use for commuting and enjoy it for every journey. it's powerful enough for the milage I do and maint is cheap enough. The FR refresh in 2011 I think made them switch the name to "FR+" and I believe took away the stitching on the seats if you want to identify them quickly in pictures. This was done after the late 09 facelift which replaced the interior / engine lineup / some exterior. Ride is pretty stiff on FRs before the facelift, the pre 09 (PD) diesel engine is fairly notorious for DPF issues which mostly stem from how people drive it rather than the fact that it has a DPF but these issues are reduced a bit past 09 with the change to common rail. If you do short journeys this will be a problem with every diesel now though so I'd stay away.

The one in the picture has the updated radio so it's a facelift but it has the basic climate control. It also doesn't have bluetooth so it doesn't have the onboard computer (I'd recommend finding one with this) on the left hand dash dial.

If you do get one the only thing I'd say is the fuel gauge is a hideous liar below 1/8 of a tank, it goes a LOT quicker than it seems to suggest.

How did you get on? I can add my 2pence to this... Driven a 1.4TSI (125hp) Leon and it is too slow...

Fantastic car in other areas, but you really need a bit more power - I think a car under 150hp is going to feel slow - also the fuel economy was not anywhere near the book figures, with city driving showing in the 20's and motorway in the 30's / high 30's - no thanks for a car with 125hp!

VIN Plate says BXF. That's a 1.9 PD with 90HP apparently. Didn't know they did one with an output that low still! But foreign markets get some funny variations.

On the economy comments, I can get 55mpg out of mine on a steady 80mph motorway cruise. Normal driving is more like 45-48, but normal driving is 13 miles on country roads to and from work, and 40 miles round the m25 at rush hour twice a week! PD130 ibiza btw.
