Need a small amount of steel/aluminium to build some DIY video rigs for my DSLR. Have spoke to a few local steelholders but they don't seem to be interested with the amount I want to order.

Any ideas guys? =)

Alluminium wise I need:

1" x 1" x 1/8" thick channel (angle)
----------------------------------------------------
(3) 3" long
(2) 7" long

3/4" x 1/16" think square aluminum (tube)
-------------------------------------------------------------
(2) 7" long
(1) 3 foot long
(1) 4 foot long

Steel wise I need:

1/2" basic joint tee
1/2" metal flange
(2) 1/2" metal end cap
(3) 1/2" galvanised steel pipe 8"

Ideally wanna get it all from one website but a lot I have seen have bits and bobs.

For this have you looked at the extruded aluminum profiles?

very flexible when used with T nuts for building all sorts.

So what's that in proper units?

Multiply by 25.4 :)

We use fairly large quantities of aluminium at work so I wouldn't know where to get smaller parts, the ones we use are Murray metals, Richard Austin & Aalco. Apparently (I have just been told) metals4u & metal supermarket do smaller parts but I personally have never used them.

Call Drews in Reading, iron mongers, will make ANYTHING you ask. Cheap as chips, and I mean CHEAP! For what you ask... Around £10?

Brilliant guys in there.

I've used these chaps a variety of periods in previous time, you may not get all you need from them but I discovered their costs to be very affordable. You could also try auction web sites.

You appear to have neglected to include a link within your response.

Could you please be so kind as to update your post?

Regards.
