I'm looking for pics of the PCB to see if it is a reference design, and don't know if it is 6+6 pin or 6+8 pin. Think I'm just a bit suspicious vtx haven't sent these cards to anyone for reviewing. Perhaps they are hiding something?

silicon lottery mate.
got one of these 7970's last week and its happily sitting at 1.2ghz and not even close to 1.2v, just pops over 60C whilst gaming as well.
great change from crossfired 5850's

i got 2087. [email protected] and 6gb of bog standard ram. 1.2ghz on the core, 1500 on the mem. 1080p resolution

1850 ish, highest score i've got on my card is 2054 (1175 clock), though that's a kamikaze run with 1.2v and not stable (on my card).

One happy owner of a new VTX3D HD 7970 X-Edition 
Was going to plump for the 7950 as the price for this really is amazing, but I had a spare £60 sitting around, so thought I might as well push the boat out a bit
Should arrive tomorrow, wonder how it will compare with my 2 CF 6850's...

I got the 7950 and it is a quick card. Stock is good, but mine overclocks well too. 1200/1600@1175mV gives me 2101 in Heaven and that is 100% stable.

You're right, go through the entire checkout process and it says £299.99, put in card details and submit. But once it's confirmed and you check your email you get charged £349.99. (So it's not that I didn't notice!).

Still 10+ in stock :S not happy about that!
Hence me ringing to cancel before they shipped it out. They couldn't change the price on the phone
