Show me your money (reveals how much people earn to each other)

Everyone in my office knows what I earn and I know what they earn, doesn't make a squat of difference around here as far as I can tell.

In a groundbreaking experiment, the managing director of Pimlico Plumbers challenges his staff to tell each other how much they earn and to help establish a fairer system of pay.

What are your thoughts on this? I think this show demonstrates how the entire pay system is wrong.

not watched the show, why is the system unfair..?

job is advertised at X, you apply for the job and get the job.. if you dont like the salery or pay rises (or lack of) you leave...

nothing good ever come from people disclosing their pay...

if asked ALWAYS knock off a good few K or say you are not willign to reveil how much...

if two identical roles need filling a year appart it may be 500 people apply on y1 and they get a really good person for £20k, the next year maybe only 2 aply and the company has to pay £25k to tempt one of them...

thats probably because you are all on about the same pay or exactly what they would expect (ie two people are not doing the same job with one getting 10k more than the other..)

I watched it and thought it was very interesting. I am surprised that some people werent willing to give up £3 a week for someone earning a lot less despite earning a very good wage, in fact I thought it was shocking.
