BMW M4

It's ridiculous - how are people calling this ugly when there are tons of swirls on it. Surely wait for the finished product before making judgement?

The same was said for the 1 series and knarly 3 series. They turned out beautiful.

Not.

Housey is right, the E30-E46 were the peak eras for the 3 series in terms of beauty and aggressiveness in perfect harmony, or something like that.

I've noticed theres no traditional m3 mirrors. If thats the case. Not pleased.
Also if they get rid of the bonnet hump they can go **** themself.

It's a test mule. You can't judge the styling based on that. If anything they will deliberately hide the core styling cues till it's ready to be announced to the press to stop people copying it till it's too ate.

I hope the engine is bespoke and not a revised unit from existing models.

I think you will be a bit disappointed.

It sounds like the go-to M engine of the moment to me also known as the n54b30
I.e
the one fitted to the:
1m coupe
m135i

and also seen in other states of tune in the
335i and 135i.
2012 is a bitch

it'll be under a serious amount of tune to outdo 420bhp though Eliot! I'm hoping it's a new engine too, or possibly go tri-turbo like they have on the M550D

Pretty sure it won't be any engine used in those cars, as its supposedly a tri-turbo engine, but after the 1M using the N54 who knows.

I would be a shame if the M3, sorry, M4 didn't have a bespoke engine. All the others were, weren't they?

I understand that some were developed from previous engines (like the M1's), but it wouldn't seem right if it was just an existing engine with 2 or 3 turbos added.

Btw I'm not keen on the idea of three turbos either, sets off my OCD.

I agree, I dont fancy replacing 3 turbos in the life of a car....

Also m4 sounds whack compared to m3.

Just not as cool
