-England v South Africa: Test, ODI and T20I series-

Have South Africa thought about the consequences of bowling around the wicket on a dry wicket that they will probably have to bat last on when the opposition have one of the best spinners in the world?

Deserved slap in the face, he's gotten far too big for his boots. You can't make demands of your country, it should be an honour to play in your national side.

Dont get me wrong, i think he deserves it the arrogant **** and im glad the ECB have come down hard on him and have not chosen him for the T20 WC squad. Although that could change but im hoping the ECB make an example of him.

So far so good for England, after losing Strauss it looks like they have settled down somewhat.

I'd hate to have to bowl against either of these in a test match! They just don't give a ****, nothing is going to rush them! :p

Took SA long enough to get another wicket:p. SA bowlers have been pretty poor really and have let England get a good start.

Bumble said Steyn wouldn't play in this test match and he certainly didn't look 100% match fit today, wasn't anywhere near as quick as he can be and he struggled to find any consistency.

Was hoping that Cook and Trott would punish the Saffers abit more than they did, as it is not very often that you will find the South African pace attack struggling with their line and length.

Overall a decent day for England, hopefully we can bat out tomorrow then try and break their batting line-up on Day 3(Swann could be very key especially after how much damage the South African pace bowlers have done to the pitch)
