I can second this, the whole way the second half plays out totally caught me off guard, felt like a generic FF movie up until then.

Also make sure you watch through the entire end credit sequence, a few of my friends switched it off as soon as the credits showed, I NO UNDERSTAND!!! :D

I'm actually thinking of doing a mini blog site just based around found footage movies/trailers, love them that much!
 
I've already seen Devil Inside, Area 407 and Evidence as well as Chronicle. Not seen VHS/Chernobyl. though!

The Tunnels is still one of my favourites next to Troll Hunter 
 
What did you think to Devil Inside?

I thought it had huge potential but they just didn't know what to do with it and it ended far too abruptly.

V/H/S is now at the top of my "to-see" list for movies this year.
 
Devil Inside had some cool/creepy moments when she started getting he possession on (:p) but there were a lot of poor moments. I felt the act in the car was particularly weak and the general acting wasn't brilliant from supporting cast members either.

Still, I had to watch it :p
 
Just woke up and remembered this movie which definitely belongs in this thread, quite disturbing and sickened me in some parts, rarely a horror movie can do that.

 
Just remembered a show i used to watch called Jeopardy. I mean, it was made for CBBC, but it was brilliant. Wish they would release it on DVD...
 
Watching The Last Broadcast now, you know.
I can see, you know, how it is considered the precursor to BWP.
There is something that is getting on my nerves a bit though, but I can't put my finger on what it is exactly, you know?.

Finished watching it, it was only let down by technicalities of the ending, otherwise I enjoyed it, cheers for the tip.
The only issue I have is regarding the reveal, every shot before that moment had a logical camera operator behind it, yet when the big moment arrives it switches to a cinematic style, an extra invisible camera operator is in the room with them and at the roadside etc.
having the camera placed on a flat surface whilst it all happens would have allowed the scene to play out without having to introduce the invisible camera, and dash-cams for the journey.

i haven't read the thread or have anything particularly interesting to add, but i saw the tunnel and was absolutely blown away with fear!

really really good film, for aussies ;)

Wouldn't it be better if you took your negative and limited input to another thread and tried to ruin that one instead? If you don't like these films then that's fine, GTFO.
