Reported: 10 Killed in US Batman Premiere

Twitter / Facebook / 24 Hour News stations / The exposure of that Breivik guy create instant Infamy. It's horrible to say but it probably makes this exposure we have now more appealing for the nut jobs to carry out these crimes.

Events like this should be banned from major TV news broadcasters and kept to the local city. News blackout on these things.

Does anyone have that youtube video where a TV news guy asks a Psychologist what can cause people to do this and he basically says the Media is partly to blame for having none stop coverage of the crimes.

Don't be stupid. The public have a right to know about these things. What if one of the relatives of one of these poor people doesn't find out because of a news blackout?

Can't be a close enough relative if your finding out via a 24hour news channel?

These school shootings we hear more of and massacres. Was it as common place say back in the 70's and 80's?

I agree with this guy.

Making light of sad things is the british way of dealing with them. I'm horrified by this, I'm not trying to make a cheap joke, I'm just trying to counterbalance the horror of it.

It might be the 'British Way' to make light of things when we get stuck in queues, or rain ruins our summer. People being murdered by a gunman is hardly an event that is deserving of that same treatment or jokes, especially so soon after happening. It's just crass and the kind of thing said by people who think they are being clever.

its very easy to die from being shot in the legs. a bullet proof vest doesnt make you invulnerable to bullets

Tragic murders and a thread about it starts attracting trolls and those wishing to make a cheap joke. Says a lot about the posters.

Have you ever considered it might be some people's way of dealing with grief. I watched this programme once about the guys who have to go along and clean up the mess from people who throw themselves in front of trains and they only way they could cope with it was to joke about it.

I don't think I'm being clever. I just think there needs to be more happiness in this world...

Guns don't kill people, people kill people. :(
Yerp... But boy do they make it quicker, cleaner and easier!

Horrible thing here is out of those 50+ casualties, there will most likely be people who will now have to live with life long disfigurements and handicaps. Horrible!

Because there's normally a discussion in these sorts of threads with people talking as if they're gun/combat experts, calling on their Call of Duty experience. :p
But you can die from being shot in the legs, he stated a basic fact, doesn't take an expert to know that

I'm confused. :p

Like a few people here when I first read it i thought (or more wished) that it was a hoax, seriously - some people are just so ****** up, gunning down children like, unbelievable
