correct, rendering and encoding can be multithreaded, so more cores = better
but for gaming, intel is better than amd.

oh you're talking about the fx6100?
no the fx6100 is total lousy in everything compared to a 3570k

have a look at this review:
http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18374859
and this is an overclocked fx6100 vs a 2500k that is not overclocked
and the 2500k is 5-10% slower than the 3570k

So u are implying that I5 will out par it ?....well I might be. Buyin all da parts today so wanted to knw more regarding this matter ...also doesn't Intel provide their. Own heatsink for processor? if not when I get my after heatsink do I have to buy thermal paste seperately? Sowwie for many questions -.-

The i3 does come with a heatsink. The retail i5K has a stock heatsink (literally worth a couple of quid) and a 3 year warranty. The OEM version is cheaper but has no heatsink (buy a decent one instead) and only a year warranty. CPU failure is rare so if the OEM is significantly cheaper i would go for it to help pay for a decent cooling solution.

Intel rules the roost forget about AMD. Any advantage AMD might have with video encoding in benchmarks is misleading as the Intel CPUs have quicksync, enable this a you get a decent boost to video encoding as long as the software supports it

Yes, a 3570k will outperform a 6100 in all areas, AMD BD basically sucks compared to SB/IB. If you buy a retail CPU, it will come with a heatsink with pre-applied thermal paste. If you buy an OEM CPU, it will just come with the CPU and nothing else. If you are going to be overclocking, I would get an aftermarket heatsink- even a cheap one like mine will be better than the stock one. They come with their own thermal paste (I don't know of any that don't)- though you have to apply it yourself (at least you do normally).

Now my fnre is rlly sayin buy fx6100 andn conving why its effective its price and performance..ohh man i am jus gettin mind fcked with these 2 cpus..
Since i play league of legend and multiplayer ftp fps games.....and rarely plays high end games like cod,bf3 ,,fren suffest me to go fx6100 instead of intel...rlly gettin confused xd .

The AMD CPU consumes more power and runs hotter. Even the top of the range AMD CPU is beaten by intels sandybridge i5K CPU, there is now the tweaked ivybridge edition.

Even if we use the sandybridge i3 it beats a AMD FX-8150 in gaming.

i3 vs More expensive Bulldozer

The i3 is a great bang for bucket CPU. When you feel the need to upgrade you'll have the choice of using the i5 or the i7s much later when they are cheap/going second hand.

your friend is just jealous you are getting a better computer

watch these videos

well i hope ur words wont haunt mne later on xd

I would suggest replacing the wireless adapter with this USB one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-023-TP&groupid=46&catid=1600&subcat=

It's USB but I'm actually finding this one more reliable and faster than PCI/PCI-E ones.

ok tell me more about it.....xd
My main tourter and dekstop is downstair on conservatoriy and the place where i am gonna put my new desktop would be upstair on my room...and its a longg longg way to get it wired so i am hoping for besy wirless solution ...so usb works better then the pci? almost bought the whole thing xd

FX8 vs i5: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/434?vs=288

It doesn't have the FX6 benchmarked, and the i5 is 100mhz slower than the 3570K, but it still beats the FX8 in gaming. This is thanks to the higher IPC (Instructions per clock).

That USB one can also be moved around since it's connected by cable, so it can avoid any inteference the PC might cause. Can also allow you to move the adapter to somewhere with a stronger signal as well, meaning it can avoid those annoying thick walls that might dampen the signal.
