Do you take pictures with your digital camera in 4:3 or 16:9 ??

Do you mainly use the 4:3 or the 16:9 settings when taking pictures with your digital camera ?

4:3 my camera is quite poor so it only has one option

Mine also has a wide 3:2 setting.

EDIT it is actually 4:3, or 3:2 which crops off the top and bottom. Always seemed wider, I think when it displays on the TV it is wider than a 4:3 television broadcast but this is because the way it scales the picture, it misses off the top and bottom a tiny bit on the TV and is effectively zoomed in a bit.

I just looked at my old sony cyber-shot p120 camera and that has a standard & 3:2 setting.

I take at 4:3 as this is the aspect ratio of the sensor. If I want 16:9 or something else I will crop later.

Edit: I tell a lie, the sensor is actually 3:2, so I shoot at that

A4 photo paper
10x15 photo paper
6x4 photo paper

3:2 as that's the native aspect of my 400d.

3:2 because as above that's the native ratio of my sensor, it would be stupid to take it in any other ratio unless it specifically needed to fit something because I'd be unnecessarily cropping it.

A4 = 8.3x11.7 = approximately 2:3
10x15 = 2:3
6x4 = 3:2
