Will I loose image quality if I move from a 24" to a 27" at the same 1920*1200/1080 res, I like things crisp and sharp and I sit quite close, I dont like seeing pixels.
You'd want a 2560 x 1440 27" monitor, in my opinion.
Sticking with 1080p will give you more screen real estate without any extra demand on your graphics card for games, but as has been said, the pixel density is lower, so the image won't look quite as sharp.
what is pixel density![]()

I just took the 24" 1920x1200 to 27" 1920x1080 jump. Honestly, you don't see pixels. You get slightly less desktop space, and text is bigger (which is a good thing imo, with higher resolutions text is too small these days)... but aside from that I actually prefer the 16:9 aspect ratio!
At work I still have a 24" 1920x1200 screen, and honestly it's like night and day...my 27" 120hz monitor is simply a substantially nicer screen! I don't feel like I'm seeing chunky pixels each time I go home to browse/play games.
With that said, perhaps if I was comparing this screen to a 1440p one I'd think differently...but compared to a 24" 1200p screen it's not bad at allAlso you can't get any 120hz 1440p screens yet (unless you overclock one of those korean monitors, from what I gather they're IPS and have much higher input latency).
