Patriot RAM? Any good?

I used Patriot ram in my I7 920 after having 2 lots of faulty OCZ Gold ram.

Def would purchase again.

Thanks for the other options, wasn't sure if the 1866 would give the i7 3770k a little more breathing room and also I'll be doing some video editing / rendering on a weekly basis with Vegas Pro, didn't know if it'd help a bit (besides it matches my colour scheme :p)

What say you wise old sage :D

I would go with the 1600mhz option, you would only notice any real different in running memory benchmarks.

With overclocking the latest cpu's with unlocked multipliers you don't have to worry much about having higher memory speeds to get higher cpu speeds.

I'd pay the extra for ram that matches the colour scheme of the board personally, regardless. Lol.

Unless your cooler hides it?

Lol, and nah the RAM will be on show :)

Ah ok, I'll have another look on OCUK, though the extra pennies are available for these (heart vs head, who will win? Tune in next week to find out :p)

Not sure if this helps at all but I have a friend who used to lecture on the merits of patriot ram every time I ordered a corsair stick.

To get the PC3 number, you basically multiply the Mhz rating by 8. 1866 * 8 = 14928, which is an ugly number, so manufacturers round it. Sound round up, some down, but they all mean exactly the same thing.
