I don't get emotional whilst watching films, but....

Great thread. A lot of good choices here.

I've seen some but not others. It would be interesting if people stated the emotion(s) they were experiencing when they cried over a particular film.

Happyness?
Sadness?
A mixture of both?
Something else?

Yep, much like this one from That Mitchell And Webb Look:

:(

Wow...never seen that before, despite being a big M&W fan. Top acting from both of them, especially Rob.

Glad to see so many people are saying Armageddon - it was blatant emotional manipulation, but every time it makes me tear up and I just can't stop my stupid self.

Worst ones for me though are those videos on YouTube where kids get surprised by their parents coming home from the army etc. Every. Single. Time. Pick any of them. I'm a blubbering mess within seconds, and I don't get why because they're not sad!

I dont get TS3....felt nothing at the end of it..was more of a "meh", I dont get whats weepy about it at all lol

Titanic... when the band starts playing their last tune. :(

When they all say goodbye and start walking away, one of them stays and starts playing alone, and then they all realise there's nowhere to go, walk back and join in.

As mentioned before, the end of Gladiator and the end of Blackadder Goes Forth.

Another one is The Constant Gardener, that had me blubbing like a girl. When the pickup rolls up and he's at the lake... ;__;

The end of Blood Diamond had me welling up too tbh.

Up's opening was extraordinary

The dark knight rises had me weeping tears of joy " he didn't screw up the trilogy...this is just so awesome"

Senna; I had 2 hours of movie to prepare for it but all that served as was an exposition of what a tremendous person and competitor he was. Luckily I was alone in the house at the time and my sobs we unheard

The mother putting her kids to bed as the water rushes in around their feet nailed me. Nowhere to go, so she accepts it as the best course of action. :(

Up is the only one that's ever got to me. It really hit me that if my wife goes it's just me (no kids) and I'd be devastated.

Agreed. They're both very powerful endings to great films.

Magnolia gets me every time I watch it.

e : I've never seen Titanic. I must be the only person in the Western world not to have done so.

E.T - I cried like an absolute chump when i first watched that (given I was quite young)

There's probably quite a few but I can't remember their names.

Funny how Titanic was panned by every man at release for being a mushy chick-flick, and as the years went by more and more realised that it is actually a very good film.

However

:D

Million dollar baby did it for me but i can relate. Most of the time im fine, music can do it tho
