Hey guys,

Right so is the above feasible with that sort of budget? What's recommended?

I've always thought with this sort of size Plasma is the way to go, is this still the case? Panasonic particularly.

Thoughts, input and all recommendations welcome. :) - Looking to buy within the next few weeks. Pretty much my only requirement is the size and 1080p.

My 50" panasonic st30 (so last years screen) was bought as ex-display for £545 delivered. You take a chance and hope that you don't have to go through any returns, but mine is great :)

Hey Stuart, thanks for the reply.

I'm surprised you managed, had to fight your way to the front there  :p

Well since this thread the Panasonic TX-P46G20BA has been pointed out to me, a refurb one can be picked up for £550 with a warranty! tempting! :)

I got a G20 for £489, albeit the 42" but for a while the 50" was cheaper than the 42"

O and the picture quality is sublime.

Thanks for the suggestions people :)

My first challenge is to get a freakin TV stand.

I can't find one I'm happy with :( - I'm visiting a carpenter on Saturday to see about having one made!!!
