For the last 2-3 days, I havn't been able to join any games other than TDM. Anyone else having this problem? I need my hardcore.

Obviously if you've only ever played one FPS game that's fine... There really aren't many people still playing on the official matchmaking servers I'd imagine, although there is still an active and 'dedicated' community 'elsewhere' that you could look for but that this forums draconian rules won't allow me to mention.

MW2 is the last decent MW for online play as far as I'm concerned. Yes it's very fashionable to hate on MW but there are still a tonne of players out there. I still have a blast on there pretty regularly.

Sorry, I mean go play BF3 noob.

I've played more than 1. It's still my favourite to date.

You should try Black Ops. Best MW imho (though i never got to play cod4 to be fair). You actually have to earn your killstreaks though, that puts a lot of people off.

That's not a Modern Warfare game :)

Black Ops is a bit too cartoony for my liking, and the guns sound ridiculous. Really didn't like it, although out of all the CoD games, my K/D is the best by far on Black Ops.

Have you tried MW1? It's a bit simpler, but far fewer annoying features. Hardly anyone 'noob tubes', there are fewer silly perks like Commando, and akimbo doesn't exist. <3
 
IMO MW2 is when they jumped the shark with all the killstreaks.
Also was that not when they ditched Dedi servers as well?
