Its really poor! An extended warrnty is only as good as the RMA service.

My PSU RMA is late at every stage.

It took them 3 days to realise they even had my PSU! ALWAYS get anything sent to them tracked!;)

Its taken them 6 days so far and still no update on if they agree a replacement is warranted, and when they will dispatch a replacement.

VERY dissapointing. :(

At every stage they have broken their own stated timescales. Thats the really painful part! I recon i won't see anything back till the middle of next week. But frankly i have no idea!

IMO its not worth chosing them due to their extended warranty. It'll take 2 weeks minimum to get anything back. Plus you have to send the kit to the Netherlands in the first place. Factoring in the cost of the postage with tracking and the 2+ weeks with no PC you might as well buy something cheaper and if it fails just buy another (with next day delivery!).:(

Rant over.

2 weeks is relatively swift for an RMA. Anything more can be considered very quick IMO.

If they gave you accurate info up front and during the RMA process then thats a fair comment. I could then decide if i wanted to wait ~3 weeks and pay the significant cost of insured tracked delivery to Europe.

With hindsight its barely worth sending a £80 PSU (which is not exactly what you want these days as it was bought a few years back) away for RMA when it costs around £40 postage and will take around 3 weeks.

Also its not worth paying for Corsairs extended warranty if you need your PC and if its not an expensive item (when the postage becomes less of an issue).

Its really the lack of info, and inaccurate stated timescales on their website thats peeving me! Thats poor customer service, and completely avoidable. If it takes around 3 weeks then let your customers know! If your website takes 3 days to be updated (thats poor) but let people know!

Corsair is far superior to most especially XFX, HIS, Powercolor, Asus and OCZ if anything goes wrong.

Dealing with HIS, Powercolor and similar is almost impossible for end-users plus they're based in Hong Kong or Taiwan.
Asus didn't even accept RMAs until recently.

My HX620 went, got recorded delivery to the Netherlands (quite expensive), but they replaced it with a HX650, so can't complain too much I guess.

Did you not read the part about shipping?

Dealing with HIS, which is in Hong Kong, is supposed to be a nightmare.

GEIL are also a company that forces you to ship to the far east but people are still buying their RAM regardless...personally I stick to Crucial Value on that front.

Fortunately I've not had to use it, but I'm told it's slow (up to 6 weeks to turn around a motherboard). I guess they're too busy focusing on their lucrative OEM deals.

Worst ive ever experienced was evga, and theyre touted as being one of the best in the business. Shoddiest company ive ever dealt with.

You really need to compare it to other companies before you start judging it and posting it on a forum.

Compared to some other manufacturers, Corsair RMA is outstanding, much like their products.

Sounds like i've been unlucky.

BUT things are looking up. Replacement shipped!

My emails complaining have kicked them into action.

If UPS do their stuff it'll only be 3 days late.... not too bad.

Just goes to show it pays to complain if you get delays / bad service.;)
