Now before you get your hopes up, Kansas City first. Presumably anywhere other than the US in many years time, if ever. But still, Google breaking in to internet service providing is a pretty big thing. And once you decipher the marketing bull they might well be on to something. Looking at the packages it could breathe life back into the more or less flop that has been Google TV.
If this is successful then it adds a whole new dimension to the 'Google Empire'. They could basically own the internet. Now i know a lot of people have concerns about the amount of power Google has, and has amassed in such a small period of time. Personally i'm not too worried, although i would much prefer it if there was a clear data tracking protocol that meant that any information gathered couldn't be used to trace back to the individual themselves. To me they seem to be one of the few sensible companies out there, providing some of the best services for free whilst still managing to stuff their pockets with money, and undercutting as well as outperforming on a lot of their paid products. Relevant XKCD.
