***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

B has gotta be cheaper, surely. Flog the HTC for a few quid and use it on the contract you just took.

Far as the music thing goes I don't think you'll find a card bigger than 64Gb, but you could :
A) Delete duplicates - you know you buy an album and then get the "best of.." and you end up with two copies of the same track. Add in deleting some crappy tracks and you may just get it down to 64GB :)

B) From when I played around I am pretty sure that the music app just looks for all media - so if its on the card or internal memory it doesn't matter.

I would suggest you think about a 32Gb phone. If you are big on media and put 8Gb of music on internal memory it only leaves you 3Gb for everything else (texts, pics, movies etc).
I think I have another £230 odd worth of contract to pay. This would drop by £60-90 odd if I wait until the end of September/October. The new contract would be £5-6 more expensive a month, especially if I go for the 18 month contract.

I could just copy a few albums of music over each day that I'll listen to on the train but the beauty of an iPod, for me, is that I can play whatever music I have without having to be in the position of not having put a particular album on and not being able to listen to it. :p

As you say, microSD cards bigger than 64GB are not easy to find. I certainly can't find any so I think the idea of using an S3 to replace my iPod is dead in the water at this time.

Or get the 32gb s3 on contract with Vodafone

Just having a think about this. My 64gb card only shows 59gb of usable space, so I think you'll have to go for a 32gb. 59gb on card, 13gb on phone, I reckon that leaves you with 14gb on the phone, plenty for other stuff.

I don't know how much the 32gb handsets are, but you don't have to buy it from vodafone if you go for option B.

Could do. :) So you reckon paying up on current contract early and then a new contract with Vodafone is better than keeping current contract and getting a SIM free S3 for £500?

I'm pretty sure the 32gb isn't available handset only here unless you buy on ebay/second hand.

Yeah, does seem to be that way. I'd forgotten Vodafone were offering the 32GB model. Things to seem to point to paying off the current contract early and get a 32GB S3. I have to admit the idea of the S3 replacing my iPod was just an idea, less concrete than my other reasons for dumping my Sensation. :) I'm not going to not get the S3 because it won't replace my iPod, if that makes sense? That part is just a bonus if it works out. :)

Samsung true to their promise:

404 is the latest update to Android for the S3 yeah but Samsung have released further internal updates. LG6 is the latest.

I've updated to Wnamlite LG6 and flashed JB (ICS) Domination which adds ICS theme with JB animations throughout instead of just in the launcher (Nova). Nice and slick.

Note: Extract SecPhone.apk and the sec telephony provider apk after flashing JB Domination 1.1 because there's a bug in the theme that causes phone dialler to crash when making calls. Overwriting the modded one with the original from your ROM fixes it.

SMS app is modded too with a black/blue theme :)

Hi mate

i have flashed the latest wanamlite and id like to use JB Domination, which file is the one to flash (tried one and it wasnt working out, phone crashing etc) do i need to do anything else to prep or just D/L and flash
