What a horribly garbled thread title. Just in case InKursion can ever post long enough to not get probated : all of my threads are terrible, especially this one - oh God, especially this one - and you should probably go to the gym or eat some vegetables instead of reading this nonsense. Buyer beware. This also a GD thing, not Music, TV, Box Office & Books. Also, there is a thread for Youtube videos, this is about the song words.

So, while I was listening to Huey Lewis and The News earlier over breakfast - I like Huey's music and it fits well with my morning breakfast routine - I was thinking about lyrics and how they often sound ridiculous if you take them out of context of the song.

An example :

The Minaj said:

On the screen, reading the words, it's hard to understand the message Minaj is trying to tell us. Are we going somewhere? Are we drinking? What zone? And who is leaving the tip? It's a mystery. Confounding and impudent, she tells us nothing of certainty.

Are there song lyrics which you strongly identify with and even if you were to post them on a computer internet forum would be understandable at least to yourself and possibly others even without the song playing? Possibly relating to important life moments - birth of a young one, death, that time you get a monster kill in Unreal - share those lyrics with us and tell us how they apply to your life.

I'll add mine if this thread gets any traction.

Weirdly I was thinking about starting a thread where people could post the song lyrics they find most inspirational or ones they feel hold some kind of deeper wisdom.......strange!!!
