Ive searched and i cant for my answer really, im undecided what i want, so i would like some advice please

I have a budget of around £50, although i have seen lots of recomendtions for Sennheiser HD 595's for example. but the price is out of my league

I want to get the best quality for gaming in mind and usuable for long periods of gameing

what would you recomend to me?

Currently using Sennheiser HD 485's that need replacing

Sennheiser PC330's would get my vote for that price range.
Although, not at the 60 quid asking price.
Think I paid 43 for mine, and they'd be tough to beat for the price, I upgraded to PC360's since and wish I hadn't.

The sound quality of the PC330 is very good. I would not recommend it for the microphone however. I have had 3 of them within 18 months and the mic has broken on all 3. Need to send the current one off for a warranty replacement again. Where the mic moves up into the "muted" position, this tends to break so that eventually its muted when it shouldnt be. I have to fiddle around with it to get it work all the time.

Anyone tried the Sennheiser PC 333D? I'm looking for a headset so my mumble guys shut the hell up but I currently use some HD25-II headphones and I don't want to buy a headset only to be disappointed in the speakers.

This is a very good question, as people are recommending seperate mics. What's best, clip on mic or desk mic (built in on web cam ok)?

It's about ergonomics at that point. With a clip on you can move your head, lean back in your chair, etc, and keep talking.

Microphones are very simple devices, I wouldn't spend more than a couple quid for one unless you're a music professional ;)
