Hi all,

I'm pretty new to music on my phone but would like to copy my collection over to my Desire.

Is there a commonly accepted app that is used which accepts a wide range of formats?

Thanks,

Another vote for Poweramp. For me, simply because it can play folders, rather than relying on playlists.

PowerAWP it is then :)

Thanks guys,

Also, I may as well ask here. Same question as above really but for a dictionary/spell checker? Any particular one I should use?

Thanks again,

Using PowerAmp now (trial), it seems to work perfectly so will likely purchase.

Only other question was the headphones,,,what shall I use guys?

I use PowerAmp and for headphones, Shure Se530's with custom moulds and the Shure MPA-3C adaptor so I can use the button remote.

Not cheap, but sounds pretty good.

Anyone know of any decent free music players. The default one decides to pickup each song 5 - 10 times. Can't be bothered going through 10gb of music deleting all the duplicates. I have tried douleltwist https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.doubleTwist.androidPlayer&feature=search_result Its mostly got it right, but a few albums its decided to put each song into its only album. Its getting frustrating.

If it matters I have a SGS 1 running 4.0.

Edit: winamp also does same as stock media player, picks up multiple copies of every song.

Just wanted to say thanks for the recommendation again guys of poweramp, just purchased the unlocked version.

This was my first app purchase (done via google store and was then auto sent to device), quick question - is the system a bit like steam where if I buy another Android device I will be able to re-download my paid apps for free?

Thanks,

Yes it's on your Google account now so you can download it to any Android devices you get in the future.

That's great, am i right in saying you can only have 1 device linked per Google account? ( i do not intend to add another, just wanted to know the procedure)

Nope, I have about 30 devices on mine. :)

When you get another phone/tablet just put in your Google account details and you can install any of your purchases on as many of them as you like.
