BF3 premium - Worth £40?

If you play bf3 a lot then yes as it saves buying the expansions later on and you save a bit of money in the long run aswell as getting a lot of bonuses :)

if u love BF like me then yes its 100% worth it

if ur neil raven dg or 95% of the people in BF thread then no!

I've yet to play BF3, I used to love BF2 but I've heard that BF3 is nothing like that, maps that feel much tighter etc. Is this a worthwhile purchase for me?

I can no longer play BF2 as it is just too outdated after palying BC2 and BF3.

BF3 does have open maps and the best BF2 maps are in the 'Back to Karkand' expansion, which includes Sharqi Peninsula, Wake Island, Gulf of Omen and Strike at Karkand.

Personally I think that the BF3 engine is good, but the BF2 maps that it has are combine the best of both - A decent engine with epic maps.

Cool, I'll probably give it a go unless something else takes my fancy, it seems Diablo 3 is a bit of a fail and there's not a lot in the FPS genre until Planetside 2 comes out.

Is this down in price yet? I bought BF3LE on release, so don't fancy forking out another £40 for what is basically 4 expansion packs, 3 of which are not yet playable.

i enjoy bf3, in terms of gameplay bf2 is considerably better, but the bf3 graphics more than make up for it.

I wouldn't pay 40 quid for premium, but i was one of the luckier ones who got it for 17 quid via India. In terms of expansions I'm only really interested in B2K (which i got in the limited edition anyway) and armored kill. close quarters i only like for assignment grinding but probably wont go on again once I've completed said assignments. The other expansions ill just wait and see what they have to offer

id be buying all the expansions anyway so its worth it in my opinion, i paid £40 and am happy now that i dont have to worry about paying out when they come out individually

it would be even more value if i hadnt already got back to karkand as a preorder bonus but without that still a good deal!

To echo the comments of others, it's all about how much time you'll get out of it vs how much it cost. Personally, I'll probably get bored of BF3 after about 400 or 500 hours of game time. £80 for that feels like a bargain.
