**CRAZY END OF MONTH DEALS ON AMD/ATI GRAPHICS CARDS - DO NOT MISS OUT!!**

Guessing about £50-£60, I can get £130 with the AC cooler on top, someone asked to buy it last week, £110/120 for the other one that would be stock.

For £50/60 I would definitely go for it. 7970 crossfire is going to be a powerful combination (should you choose to add another in future) for many years yet!

So tempted by the 7870 for £199... Still running a 285 GTX at the mo but trying to talk myself out of it as I was trying to hold off a while longer yet!

I really want either of the two 7970's, I actually joined to ask some questions about the 7970's you stock so I might aswell ask them here. :D

The MSI HD 7970 seems to have a red PCB but I just wanted to make sure, does it really have a red pcb or is the actual products pcb black? same(somewhat) question with the 299 xfx variation.

Also, are both the msi + xfx ref cards? (I want to know as I believe that means they will both work with any overclocking utility out there)

The last question. Is the dvi port on the msi card dual link? It states so on the xfx but not on the msi so I wanted to make sure. :)

Much appreciated and fancastic prices I really want to snap one up quick.

I have been debating getting the 670 over the 7950 recently due to it being a fair bit faster but at this price, surely the 7950 is currently the best bang for buck card ?

I have been having a similar debate. To be honest I have just decided to go with a 7970.

Hopefully once my questions are answered by a member of staff I can pop for one. :)

Yeh the 7970 is an amazing deal right now if you're willing to part with that much cash! The same price as a 670 with these new prices.

That's my line of thinking. I was going to get a 670(altho I was weary of the 2gb vram with my set up) but with these prices being like £10 more than a 670 I would rather just get a 7970.

Depending on the outcome of my post in the pre sales forum I will take one of the Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 Windforce 3X. Fingers crossed, custom "ultra durable" PCB with solid caps won't whine or buzz :)

Very tempted by all of the 7970s.
Would like to get 3 for Tri-fire.
Would also want to water-cool them.
Wondering if I'd be better off getting air cooled ones and waterblocking myself or getting the pre-waterblocked ones. Trouble is that looks like a nickel/actel block and for some reason I prefer the look of copper blocks. Plus my CPU block is copper/plexi.
Which makes the air cooled cards more tempting so I can put an AquaComputer block on them.

How much behind 7970 Tri-fire would 9750 Tri-fire be?

Tri-Fire is a bitch from what I read here, it's fantastic at benchies, but performance is a bigger hit or miss affair in games than Dual-Fire setups.

7950 crossfire Tommy, you know it makes sense ;)

I know, but that's overkill@1080p, a single highly(if I'm lucky) clocked 7970 alongside my trusty old 9800gt for physX was my train of thought.

You can use an amd card and an nvidia card as physX? I thought that was impossible without hacking some software.

Correct, quite simple to do, not done it for a while, but had a look into it today and it's still doable.;)

As it's reference it should be black, but noticed that's MSI's picture with the red PCB, it's in the link below, so it's not a cert.

Yes the dvi port is dual link:

'Video Output Function
Dual-link DVI x 1
HDMI x 1
Mini DisplayPort x 2'

Thanks for the reply. :)

I just bought the MSI 7970 for £299. Three year warranty and three free games. Bargain. Can't wait for it to arrive now.

God damn im excited.

I'd like to know the answer to this question as i just bought one.

Why buy the XFX over the MSI though? MSI Has a three year warranty as opposed to a two year warranty on the XFX.
