My 8800GTS 640 has just died and I need a replacement GFX card. It will be going into the PC in my sig. Which card would you recommend for around £100 new please? Not heavily into gaming these days but would like something that'll play MW3 at 1920x1080 at high settings tho.

edit: PSU is a Corsair HX520.

Thanks, that's pretty tempting. What about a Nvidia card at about the same price, don't mind spending a little more, how does that compare to say a 550ti or a 560/560se?

the 560ti is practically nvidias direct comparison ... but the price difference doesnt justify it imo
Actually no. It is the GTX460 1GB that was the 6850's direct competition, with both cards performance shoulder to shoulder. GTX560Ti is/was the direct competition to the 6950, but was only sometimes slower than the 6950 due to only having 1GB vram, but it was cheaper than the 6950 by £50.

I live near a competitor and sadly they had no 6850s in stock so me being impatient went for a 560 instead. Thanks for the advice everyone. :)
