**** Pictures of things we bought in August 2012 ****

Sorry for the carp photo. This was something like £41 for the whole kit and was well worth every penny.

I've been using the Mach 3 since God know when but after using the Edwin Jagger i'll never go back, the shave is just so much better.

Felt like a boy using the Gillette, feel like a man using the Edwin Jagger! :p

Can you link to the kit?

How are you finding it, I have the 5600dpi and its twitchy no matter what dpi I'm using. Also if a bit of dust gets into the sensor on mine it just won't respond.

I haven't had it long so this is tricky to answer, but it seems fine so far. Once I'm used to it I'll be able to judge things like this far more accurately.

I'm very impressed with the wireless performance though, it seems pretty much identical to a wired mouse.

Like I said, 10,00000 DPI modes = Gimmick :p

The mice themselves are great though, accurate, feature rich (buttons/settings) but DPI is just....

The DPI modes of mice like these are more gimmick than anything else. It's acceleration amped up. I have the G700 and have had the Razer Mamba before too and only use them at 800dpi as anything less is too slow and anything more feels like Windows with the "pointer acceleration" enabled by default which grinds my gears!

Enjoy it though :p

Be sure to turn off Windows pointer acceleration, such a useless feature for mice.

Indeed, I have no doubt that the DPI stuff doesn't matter. I've got it set to the default 2nd profile at the moment which is 1600 DPI. It seems fine but I'll have to fiddle with it all!

I was more interested in the fact it was a refreshed model, which maybe has an improved/different sensor and perhaps some other tweaks. I can't find much information on it though.

I really want to try one of these mice now, people keep buying them...

That's what put me off, they don't look very comfortable to hold either.. But quite a few people are rating them highly so I may pop into pc world and give it a try :)
Saying that I have a Logitech G9X so no need to upgrade really... :p

I was choosing between this, the RAT 7 and the G9X. I use the middle mouse button a lot and pretty much everyone said it's dreadful on the G9X so that sort of ruled it out, even though it does look good.

The looks of the RAT 9 are obviously going to be subject to personal taste, but I actually really like it and it was one of the main reasons I decided to get it. It looks and feels very premium. The adjustable shape is actually really nice too and does make a big difference, though I can't see myself changing it very often once I'm used to it.

The G9X middle button does take getting used to. There is no "click" and it is quite stiff but once you get over that hurdle it's fine to use.
I bought a roccat and razer before this and both middle mouse buttons broke within weeks. So having had logitech mice which worked flawlessly for years I decided on the G9X.

Strangely, the shop I bought it from had the 6400 DPI model, where as most of the ones for sale seem to be the 5600 DPI model, including the one that OCUK are selling.

I'm assuming this one is a refresh, so that's good.

Yeah, the 6400 is a refresh :)

I wanna try one of these mice now...

So comfy :) Loving mine... Plus it's so durable.... I'm surprised mine's not dead yet....

I've got a 7 (so basically the same), and haven't had really any issue. If you're finding it too twitchy, try a lower dps? It took me a while to get used to 5600, but use it as standard now a days...

Dust can be a bit of an issue, but I tend to find small hair is more of an issue..., but rarely a huge issue again..

Also, so many deleted posts by 20:51 on the first day... smooth....

Looks more like a collector given the old tractors and him appearing to live in a housing scheme rather than a farm....

Re: Thread trimming - I always miss the good stuff :(

LOL

That isnt my house, and im not strictly a farmer, my family used to own a large farm for many many years, but unfortunantly is was all sold in the 80's when the price of beef cattle and milk crashed.

I buy and sell machinery and do a lot of forestry work :)

Full...maybe it can get indigestion.

haha :p

Well for those that was interested Zeus done a good job while I was at work. Zeus cleaned the whole apartment very well. Just the odd corner which he couldn't reach.

By far one of my best purchases because I hate vacuuming. Its so awesome to just tell Zeus to clean the apartment in the morning and come back home to a cleaned apartment :D

The only fear I have is one day coming home and finding him flipped on his back like a tortoise with his little wheels just running trying to flip over but can't manage it :p That or I'm going to walk through the front door one day and knock Zeus flying !

Very nice, I really want to get one of these or the R.A.T 7 but my R.A.T 3 is working perfectly.... I wonder if I can convince the wife that the 3 will improve her LD4 accuracy? :D

Anyway, been on a bit of a mini splurge recently:

After listening to a few of their songs I decided I had to have all of the albums. Just ripping them to my NAS now (for phone & streaming).

These will tide me over until Tarja's (Turunen) live album is out.

A few aftershaves to add to the growing collection that I'll probably never end up using. Plus, JF's new EP on tape to complete the collection (CD/vinyl/tape).

Yeah, default... same as yours... It's great once you get used to it!

I can tell I've turned my speakers up too loud when I can no longer actually control my mouse because it picks up the desk vibrations xD
