What's better 3 x U2410 or 1 x U3011?

I had the same conundrum a few months ago and went with a 27'' screen definitely think it was the right choice. Although if you're hardcore into your gaming/workspace then stick with the 3. I'll wait until windows 8 has matured and then probably do what spoffle has recommended. Gpu's pushing that much screen estate I'll wait another year or so (1 GPU)

I've got 3 of those Korean screens running off one 6950 and it's doing well.

I think the 30" will be the nicest unless you can go for 3 catleaps which i'd upgrade to from my 30" dell just for the immense views.

only thing i would say about 3 of those is would you get consistency with them ? i would go for a single couldnt bear bezel views in my eyesight

nope i havent tried it but im sure it would annoy the hell out of me . it would be like swimming in one of those enfinity swimming pools then one day some one building a low wall at the end of one when your looking out to sea.

if the bezel was like 1mm im sure it wouldnt be as bad but how thick are they ?

Try it. The bezel is in your peripheral vision I don't even bother lining them up tight any more because I'm not actually looking at the side screens. That's why you curve them in towards you it just makes you feel like your in the game. Once you play Eyefinity for an hour then turn off the side monitors it's so bad, feels like you have gone blind. The side monitors are just there to add to the middle, I see enemies in my peripheral and dark/bright light from the screens in RPGs when exploring, the bezels would only be a problem if you was viewing all screens from far back.

I noticed OCUK have the U3011 out of stock and it's gone up in price it's so expensive now. I wonder if Dell would do me one for £700 if I called.

FWIW I love my three screen machine... but only for racing and flight sims, where it is impossible to beat. Also for video editing, where being able to spread out across three windows really helps workflow. The bezel thing really isn't a problem and I proved that to myself in some tests with a second monitor (which just about all cards will do). Even with the bezels right in front of me I was sold on the idea. :-)

However the machine I "live on" has just been treated to one of the 27" DGMs and while the monitor is not perfect, the size and format is very impressive indeed for everyday use. If you have the graphics power to drive it properly it also shows off normal games incredibly well. So for anyone without niche interests like flight and racing sims I'd go single and go big (in size and pixel count... those 27"+ 1080p screens puzzle me. It must make everything look like Minecraft! :->)

I'm not a big fan of racing games though Dirt games and Trackmania are fun with eyefinity. I think FPS games are better for eyefinity as you don't need to turn around as much to check for enemies. RPG games like Risen are amazing in eyefinity and where I really love it, I didn't used to play games much at all until I got eyefinity and I can't stop playing Risen.

Yeah I would never get a 1080 27" rather have a 22" at 1050.

I've decided to go PLP and ditch eyefinity until they sort out PLP configurations. I will use softth for now and get the best of both worlds.

On people who have never tried it say this, any one who has tried it knows it doesn't matter.
