Sweet. Bell wire is pretty popular around here if your looking to save a few bob ;)

It seems to be in a few places :D I'll be able to sleep soundly at night if I've got signature! I couldn't afford Sarum but think that maybe a step too far anyway!

Are you just running two channel bi-amped or what?

I'm running 2 channel but only from the Classe CAP2100 which is an integrated amp so not bi-amping or bi-wiring. I've got Signature links on the back of the speakers and so don't see the point in bi-wiring.

I'd like to get a Classe CA2300 eventually but a CP800 pre-amp is next on the cards once they enable the ethernet connection :)

Cheers

Apologies for terrible photos :(

Classe is beautiful looking gear - I would like to hear them on your 805.
I have owned N805 until recently and I know they would have loved that amplification

What is the classe in the left of the pic, slot loading cd player? - the right is obviously an amp?

Guys,

I've noticed a few posts with people with the Ikea LACK TV Bench...I'm thinking of getting one.

Can anyone measure the exact distance between the shelf and the top of the unit? i.e. the gap between the two? Want to see what exactly will fit...

Thanks.

Oh, and some serious porn in this thread, will post mine soon :)

That NAD DAC is lovely. Shame they don't do it in black really.

Got my speakers unpacked last night but only managed to get an hour or so to listen. They look pretty much identical to the ones posted above only in a slightly lighter oak finish.

Being an Omni-directional speaker they certainly work better with my room since they're sat in the bay window!

4090 on 850w = BOOM
Xonar ST > Chord Crimson Interconnects + Ultrasone pro 900 headphones > Cambridge Audio 650A > Silver anniversary bi-wire + ixos subwoofer cable > Kef Q500 Floorstanders + Mordaunt short Alumni 9 Subwoofer.

Goes nicely with anything electronic. Plenty of boom for movies too.

Nice. My room layout is a bit annoying and I've got to put together a 5.1/5.2 set up at some point next year - didn't even cross my mind to look at the pros/cons of an omni vs direct fire/bipole/dipole for surround effects.

Il post updated pics soon

Just purchased some S70's myself today. Looking forward to getting them unboxed this weekend! Nice to know I'm not the only owner of some. ;)

I think as far as surround goes, from a cost perspective its probably not worth it as they tend to be quite large/expensive.

I only have a stereo set up though so can't really comment fully :)

Ha, well, I'm building some point-source speakers designed by Siegfried Linkwitz (of Linkwitz/Riley crossover fame) although they are strictly stereo speakers - could have a gander at DIY surrounds. Definitely one area where immense amounts of money can be saved if you have the time/inclination/tools/clever friends.

Thats true, although i found recently when getting prices for a new driver for a broken speaker that they were £140 per driver and only available from Sweden!!!

Either way heres another little toy i picked up. Its so small and dinky! 100w per channel though and sounds surprisingly good.
