Hey all,

This question probably gets asked far too much but, are the 360's a decent headset for reliability, longevity etc? I tried my friends today and they are soo much more comfortable than the ones I have!

I use headphones for music quite a lot and play a fair bit of fps games. I rarely use the microphone but only because the one I have doesn't work!

Thanks for any input guys :)

That'll teach me for not checking the title after I'd typed it on a laptop -

Can a mod please change it?

Am I mad buying .......

Thank you :)

I've had mine for 18 months now and they show no sign of wear. The plastic they're made out of is quite flexible. Sennheiser used to make an aviation headset that seemed to use a very similar shell, so I think the design is quite sturdy.

PS They are very comfortable. When I first got them, I started walking away from my PC while still wearing them a few times, because I'd forgotten I was wearing headphones!

These are pretty much the HD595/HD598 with a mic. I've had a set of HD595s for a few years and tried various other headsets. Nothing compares for sound quality and comfort.

For gaming use the PC360 can't be bettered.

Do the 595/598's have built in volume control on the headphones? The volume control on my current sennheisers has gone wrong and is hard work to get sound from both sides!

Am I going to irritate my mrs with the open type? The 360's seemed to actually have some bass which I was surprised about!

Open cans will inherently leak sound, but if you listen at high volume then even closed cans will leak sound.

Medium volume will probably not be seen as a irritant but if you regularly listen at high volume then consider closed headphones if you dont want to irritate.

She loves my taste in music ;)

I'm guessing if I throw £130 at a set of these headphones I can expect them to last a very long time?

Thanks all :)

That's not strictly true.

In it's price range, perhaps. But if you spend more you can get far better cans and retrospectively add mic functions if you desire.

There's the Beyerdynamic MMX 300, but they're over twice the price of the PC 360s.

I think the PC 360s are good value for money for what you get. I really like the convenience of the built-in microphone (especially the way it auto-mutes when you raise it out of the way).

my pc350s have lasted (and are still going) like 4 years... the cover on the padding started to come off about 12 months ago, probs due to wearing glasses with them...

Im very happy that they have lasted so long :-)

no you're not mad, they are great cans you'll love them. If you want closed cans then something like the Lindy Premium aren't too shabby either, but they don't have volume controls or a mic. What Hi Fi have a review of them.
