I have Xonar DG 5.1 (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-012-AS) + Logitech X-140 2.0 Speakers (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SP-051-LG).

All are working (eventually), but really noticing base difference when not using headphones (I should have really ordered at least 2.1 speakers I know !).

I do have a creative subwoofer from an set of "Creative inpsire 6.1 6700".

This subwoofer from what I can understand also acts as an amp for ofther speakers, and also used to take mains power in - and then connected to all separate speakers.

Here are some images:.

My question is can I connect this sub onto the Xonar to get 2.1 without issue, do not want to do anything that will bugger my system.
Concious of power going directly into sub, that might hurt PC.

If no guess need pointing towards a sub on its own, or see if the kind people at O/C will take speakers back and I swap out for 2.1 or at at least some with some grunt.

Thanks for any help.

It should work but you will have to control the sub volume and the satellites volume seperately.

If you're fine with that, then I see no problems.

I think that will be the issue, that is sub volume control.

No issue with doing it separately, but the volume for the hole Inpsire set-up was on one separate control - not sure if this will fit into the loop.
