mass effect series

just orded the 2 disc special (mass effect 1) from the rain forrest for £11.99.

:)

Good good :)

As with many older BioWare games, it really doesn't get in to full swing until you leave the first main proper area (i.e. leave the Citadel in ME1), so stick with it, as it can be a little dull running about in the first hour or two.

It's a bloody good game though! Completed it 4 or 5 times :D

No, I'm afraid not, and neither is ME2(can't remember about 3)though the UI is specifically made for PC and works much better imo. I found ME1 was much better with kb/m, but ME2 I didn't think there was anything in it tbh.

It really is best to play them all on the same platform tbh, so you can use your savegame.

Indeed, My first play through was on the 360, But mass effect definately worked better for me with KB/M on the PC. And I'm pro pad most the time with regards to gaming. Unless its a strategy game\RTS game

you can play all 3 using save game from 1st ?

Your savegame made at the end of ME1 can be imported in to ME2, so all the choices you made carry over, and the savegame at the end of ME2 can be imported in to ME3. Some of the changes are not major, but it makes for a much more personalized feel for the game imo.

Example- Many characters could die in ME1. If someone dies in your ME1 game and you start ME2 with your imported save, they will be dead, and will not appear in the game(someone else might be able to explain it better...been a long day!)

1 was great, 2 is incredible , 3 was just ok.

I agree with this :). 2 was my favourite, then 1, then 3. 3 I played expecting the world after those 2, was pretty disappointed. Stuck with it till the end to see how it turned out...again, disappointed :(.

But all worth playing overall :), 3 just out sheer curiosity as to how it turns out if you like the other 2.

I thought 2 was the best. The first is good just very clunky although a better story. 3 is just more of 2 but not as good and with a god awfull ending.

2 is the best gameplay by far.

1 is the best story.

3 is enjoyable, but no where near as good as the other two.

well it turned up today so i played just over an hour earlier on.
not long got passed the beacon exploading and having a row
with the counsil about a traitor lol.

seems alright so far.
glad i checked the graphics options as i turned the grain and motion blur off.

so far so good :)

I missed this first time round so I picked up 1 & 2 at the weekend. Enjoying it so far, although driving the tank/explorer vehicle is an absolute PITA - especially when you're trying to evade/aim at enemies all at once.

I've never played 1or2 ...just the third one I got off somebody else for a weekend a while back, Too many cut scenes that are way too long.....don't think I'll be rushing out to get this one :)

The Mako is rather annoying, depending on how much of a completionist you are, you can skip a lot of the exploring side of things and head to the objectives / anomalies on the maps. You'll be able to get to level 50 on a first play through if you're thorough.

Mass Effect 2 has a better resource mining system, but it's a pain in the ass in a different way, while ME3 is a bit too simple!

For me personally, ME2 is the best of the bunch - it's got the story and one of the best ending build-ups ever. It just feels more epic than ME3 for some reason.

im struggling with this game.
i've landed on some planet in mako car but im clearly not ready for any
fighting so i want to LEAVE this planet.

HOW DO I LEAVE ??????
doesnt seem to be an option to LEAVE.
gonna have a brain tumour at this rate.

So you're wanting to LEAVE? right? :p

I think you just hit the X button if you're in the mako, Or i think there's a way to do it from the map screen.

says in the manual press start / choose map then press X

wont let me so i give up its going in the bin
pig of a game anyway.

back to call of duty it is.
