mass effect series

im struggling with this game.
i've landed on some planet in mako car but im clearly not ready for any
fighting so i want to LEAVE this planet.

HOW DO I LEAVE ??????
doesnt seem to be an option to LEAVE.
gonna have a brain tumour at this rate.

If you have landed on a main story/objective planer, you'll not be able to take off. Best thing to try I find is aim the car sideways, then effectively strafe behind cover . Use your secondary fire nice you get enemy shields down and on infantry.

Is it a snowy level or a red rock level? Be patient as these bits aren't that long, and not too many of them.

on a red planet near a refinery. i've saved this doctor now and ive finaly left.
maybe it's just to challenging for me.

I like the combat best in ME3 out of all of them. It's really satisfying for some reason.

In general though, ME2 > ME1 > ME3 but that's really only because of the ending.

ME1 I find hasn't aged brilliantly and has some serious flaws, like the identical moonbases and so on, but the story is superb and it's still a must-play game.

ME2 is one of my favourite games of all time - I've played through it several times and will probably play through the whole trilogy again more than once in the future.

^ I loved the mako. It wasn't the mako that was the problem for me, it was the terrain, and you get used to it. Exploration was much missed from the other 2 games.

Burn!

I think the 1st game was the best one with the combat system there, but 2nd is good too :) Haven't been able to play 3 yet.

If you think 3 is a good game. You have a bad taste in games.

The first is pretty damn good though.

The 3rd one is the best in the series IMO! Only area it suffers compared to number two is the quality of characters in your actual team. But then again even that fits with the theme of that game given the circumstances.

Just doing the bit with the Thorian now in ME1. To be honest the lack of power in the guns is starting to grate. Halo suffered from the same problem IMO.

Build up your weapon stats and you will become incredibly overpowered in ME1. With an assault rifle maxed out, and using Spectre Gear you can pretty much keep your finger down without overheating.

Don't forget your powers and squad powers too!

Personally I found it hard to get into Mass Effect 1, I could never really take to it even though I found the overall story very interesting. I think it was the lack of character focus and awkward UI and combat.

Then I played ME2 and it was the complete opposite. I got sucked right into it in a way no other game has done to me. Completely character focussed and much tighter and focussed gameplay made it way better. However the story wasn't as epic as the first.

ME3 built on ME2 in the character development department. Very emotional and tight game, excellent experience. They let themselves down with some business choices and the ending, but overall it was a fantastic game.

The Mass Effect trilogy is probably the best game series of the last decade, a must play in my opinion.

I like to only use one weapon in ME1. Usually the pistol as an infiltrator(with maybe the sniper rifle as backup). If you just use one type of weapon and put the stats in to that you can get it to a decent level which greatly improves the gameplay on higher difficulty levels imo, and also leaves plenty of points to put into intimidate;)

ME1 for the story
ME2 for the combat
ME3 for those moments that carry a lot of weight because of the attachment you have formed to the caracters.

Right, I'm moving on to ME2 now. Finished 1 at the weekend, and I'm tempted to play it through again as I made a lot of bad decisions I think, and was also annoyed because I couldn't go back and complete all the side missions once the story was done.

Anyway, I'm an hour in to ME2 and the control system is SO MUCH BETTER.

Just wait until the story gets going :D

Regarding playthrough, it'll be fine - you can pay for the Mass Effect Genesis interactive comic that allows you to pick your key Shepard history so you don't have to play through again. You'll more likely just bump in to characters / tangents from other stories and say 'hey, I remember that', most things aren't core to the ME2 or ME3 story, just cool to see.

Main thing is the fact that that nearly all the RPG side of it is gone, but it just makes it a very slick action game with a teeny bit of RPG in it.

I love the addition of the Paragon / Renegade interrupt moments, especially some of the renegade ones!

i enjoyed the Soundtrack from ME2, especially the track Suicide Mission. I created an extra save to replay that part of the game.
