Spec me a watercooled mobo!

Been thinking over what hardware I want in my build, already got a watercooled CPU and GPU and was going to transfer that into my TJ07.

Ive since decided I want to build something a little bit better, airflow through the top of the TJ07 wont be great once I've got a back panel without the fans and an acrylic top window so I'm looking at seling my current mobo and CPU and going for a fully watercooled system.
I know I probably don't need to go so extreme, I just want to though!

Now it seems mobo water blocks are few and far between so what are my options?

Looking at an i5 CPU, would like space for 2 GPU's, ideally both x16 slots.

Water block wise I'm thinking copper & acetal to go with my CPU block, also need to find a copper & acetal block for my 580.

Now on to the budget!
This build will probably take a while so I'll be buying the mobo first and leave the CPU until I need it, so for starters just the water block and mobo and I'm guessing I'll need ~£200?

I'll be selling my current hardware first si that help towards the cost hopefuly!!

Watercool Heatkiller do blocks for the ASUS-P8Z77-V range of boards, but not an acetal/copper version, they do nickel/delrin/allcopper I think.
 
Why are there so few options out there?

Ive spent ages looking and cant seem to come up with any reasonably priced combo.

I may give OcUK a call tomorrow and see if they'll supply something suitable.
 
Looking around at current nvidia gfx block offerings it seems only EK and Alphacool do copper+acetal.

Copper + nickle seems to be the fashion this summer :rolleyes:

Built in block, but not sure how it would go with your colour scheme, not that I went that far with mine either as cant find it necessary for my needs, but takes out the worry of killing warranties etc and hassle of finding a block I suppose.
Just another option to throw into the mix. Maybe over what your needing been a while since I've looked for boards that have blocks available and what the current prices of them are to compare if this is worthwhile or not.

X79 has blocks, but as Cleeecooo said for 1155 Sandybridge it just doesnt get hot enough.
 
I realise they're not really needed, its no reason to not do it though :p

However, for the price they seem to be I may just put the extra into a good mobo...

Some of the 'extreme overclocking' mobos may 'need' them

Unlikely until a new range of CPUs is out ;)
 
I don't know if there are any new chips on the horizon for the 2011 socket but its going to be a while before I'll be buying one, christmas maybe!

I may leave the mobo for a couple of months too and concerntrate on the rest of my build, see if anything else comes up in the near future.
 
I also would like to take my new rig completely under water but even the x79 boards have little in the way of blocks for them. (that I can find anyways)
