Ex Mrs has tattood my 17 yr old son

He still has the opportunity to cause repercussions for the son's mother if he wants to be that petty, but he still would have done the same if we would have come up with this idea in 3 months, so it'd be a pretty pathetic power move on behalf of mattyg if he did as such.

not just the mum though. if it was done at her place of work, then isn't their licence also up for grabs for not carrying out the appropriate ID checks?

maybe if I explained a bit better. its not the age/maturity thing that I am saying the 3 months about. what I suppose I mean is, maybe there should be like a waiting time or something. so you put your name down for a tattoo but they wont do it for say 6 weeks after that. gives you time to change your mind and think about it.

If you have a son, and he ends up with a spur of the moment tattoo and he's under age, regardless of by how far. And you were never consulted about it.

You have a right to be ****** off.

The fact it was the mother that did the tattoo, And apparently she's qualified so should know the law in question. makes it even worse, because she knowingly broke the law, just to christen her new qualification, using their child.

Simply put, I'd be angry too.

Thank you..

Makes more sense than my opening post

The word retard being used, you sure are an intellectual fellow.

Oh, hang on, was that a personal attack? It seems like one, it's just so hard to tell with your amazing wit. That makes 2 one thread! BRAVO!

Hang on guys this isn't a bitter divorce thingy..We split up nearly 17 yrs ago.

Fair enough, but what is done is done. As I've said, think back to when you were 17 and give the kid some room. There are worse things to be doing and it's not worth causing friction with the ex as it'll be worse for the lad than your ex.

If it's bad, just rip the **** out of him for it. If it's decent, explain to him why you aren't happy with it instead of ranting on here. He's 17, he'll understand :)

On a side note, I agree with finding a design and waiting, but your opening post is full of drama for what is a tiny thing really :)

It's not him I'm mostly P****d at. It's his damn mother who probably coerced him. He's very impressionable. He probably thinks it'll make him look 'ard

It's 3 months

Yeah but that argument works both ways, if it's only three months it's not long to wait is it.

Also, his mum would have had more practice by then and (sorry OP) it would have given him a better platform to argue from with his dad and he can say "I'm 18, I can do want I want".

Ahhh but they are good tattoos, I'm talking about bad tattoos (like goods AIDS and bad AIDS).

Nothing says unemployable than a neck tattoo :D

haha. in my last 2 jobs I refused to wear T-Shirts so that mine weren't on display, I think its unprofessional. in my current job I rarely deal with the public so im not as bothered, but I don't unless its really hot.

anyone that gets a tattoo for other people and not themselves needs testing. hence why I think something like a 6 week waiting list should apply.

I actually howled with laughter, your using retard in your comments then comment on my "amazing wit" haha the irony level just smashed through the roof.

Yep and if he regrets it in a few years he would only have himself to blame.

What does that mean "getting a tattoo for yourself"? I hear everyone saying (normally while they unsolicitedly show me their new tattoos) that but what does it mean? You like to stand there looking at your tattoo in the mirror?

pretty much means the same as the clothes you buy and that. do you buy clothes because you think other people will like them, or because you feel happy in them? im sure you don't (well you might :p) stand staring at yourself in your clothes in the mirror do you?

I hope it wasn't a sailor tat, they are gayer than Louie Spence's underpants.

For me, it isn't a big deal, but I can understand why you'd be annoyed!

How is the tat any ways, any good?! :D
