Cable modems with cloned MAC addresses?

I'm guessing not since if the same mac address appears on the network with more than 1 connection it should get blacklisted hence the massive reduction in cloned modem (there may still be some out there, who knows?)

The only problem is there are so many things that can cause a problem locally that can only be diagnosed by a technician.

As a technician I would say that probably 90% of my fault visits are isolated to the customer who reported the issue.

Apparently you can book a technician visit on facebook and twitter now too

Yes, if I'm unhappy with Virgin it would be the pathetic upload speeds. I'm still waiting on mine to be doubled, but even then it will only be 6MB, 10:1. BT have much better upload ratios, I'll give them that. I guess 10:1 is OK for 90% of people though.

There is an internal rumour that the upload speed will be tripling. Not got any evidence yet though but as soon as I find out for definite you lot would be the first to know :)

If that is true, it would be brilliant news :) The upload speed has certainly tempted me to move to Infinity, but my Virgin service is so brilliant it would be a risky move. Despite the Infinity fanboys here, lots of people report problems with their service too.

Nah its not my end I agree some people dont know any thing and need a techy.

I have done every thing to narrow it down to a fault on virgins end or at least faulty virgin gear eg modem etc etc.
