Where should I go

Beirut is worth a look if you haven't been. Not that far away either.

I don't care how often you travel. Travelling across 7 or 8 time zones for a few days and returning will take it out of you. For a holiday it isn't worth going through that.

If I can keep it short it won't do much damage. The other week I left NYC at 9 PM ish after a four day trip, landed at 9 AM ish, went from LHR to the office and worked the day. It probably wasn't the most productive day ever, but I lived :)

Besides, I'd have at least 3 days off after I came back before working again.

San Francisco, hire one of these and re-enact some Bullit scenes. Should be a laugh!

Do you work abroad and come home every week or so?
Not really - I travel for work once or twice a month, usually for three our four days each time. For most of this year it has been twice a month. Airports and planes certainly feel oddly familiar nowadays!

Keep the suggestions coming! :D

I can vouch for HK, you'll have a great time, plenty of things to do. Perhaps Tokyo though....go go inspector gadget!

For 3 or 4 days I'd probably go with Hong Kong. Most of the people I know who have been there seem to think that is about the right length of time to go there.

I would be adventurous and try something different so Bishkek or Almaty. If those don’t appeal then Tbilisi.

Mauritius gets my vote & here's why

I'm easily pleased. :o[/QUOTE]

Who wouldn’t be with beach balls like that to admire and play with and then you’ve got that beautiful sea to go and cool off in. Marvellous! :D

Mauritius is too far for 4 days really 12.5 hour flight direct. Fabulous island as I honeymooned there 16 years ago but long haul and needs a week ideally more.
