SGS3 web browser - auto-fit doesn't work?

Hi all

After getting incredibly frustrated with Chrome's jerkiness and crash happy nature, I've switched to using the stock browser on the SGS3. However, even with auto-fit turned on, text doesn't fit the screen at all. No amount of zooming in and out seems to make it work. Has anyone got any idea how to make it work?

mines never worked either (sgs2)- oh and yeh chrome crashes a lot too.

ICS+ and Quick ICS seems to be popular browsers for Ice Cream Sandwich.

On the otherhand I'm fine here with Dolphin HD since I'm stuck on Gingerbread.

Are you confused? It's not text wrapping (based on your zoom level), it just chops the article in half so you can double tap on the chunk of text and read it easily.

No idea? Even double tapping a body of text doesn't always zoom into it without cutting part of it off the side of the screen. I just can't figure out what exactly it's auto-fitting or how to make it work!
