Opinions on those cheap 1440p Korean monitors...

Hi,

A friend of mine is looking to get a high res monitor after seeing my 2711

He prefers a glossy display.
We were looking at the cheap Korean displays. There's some that have dead pixel guarantee's & pivot stand for around £300.

Thoughts?

It's fair enough we can't mention or discuss competitors but why was that thread locked? To stop people discussing alternatives to the DGM?

The korean monitors are NOT value for money when you move into the £300 range.

1. Will cost £35-£50 in customs fees. DHL will hit you weeks after delivery and send their collection agents round if you don't cough up.

2. No 7 day return period if not satisfied.

3. No easy warranty process. You may be forced to pay return postage, which is upto £100.

4. No stuck pixel/defect free guarantee. Despite what they claim, they only cover against stuck pixels. Dead pixels and severe backlight bleed will still pass as acceptable, along with many other possible issues.

Maybe the Hazro's or DGM will come down in price soon.

DGM prices seem to go up and down from £320 to £380ish every few weeks or so.
