Fantastic night for British athletics and a fantastic day for British sport in general. Brilliant to see Jess Ennis win her gold in style and break the British heptathlon record. A slightly surprising but no less welcome gold for Greg Rutherford in the long jump, I thought he'd need to go a bit further than 8.31m to win it but no one seemed to be in amazing form. And to top it off was Mo Farah winning the 10,000m quite comfortably, hopefully that takes a bit of the pressure off for the 5,000m as well.
Currently 5 golds away from the teams final total in Beijing and there's still several days worth of competition left so hopefully it'll be the best Olympics for Britain in recent memory.
