Extremely slow PSN downloads (PS3)

I have 10mb broadband and actually get pretty much the full whack out of it, but for some reason, the PS3 is taking YEARS to download a 2436mb demo.

Everything else runs as fast as it should, but for 2.5gb, this is saying its going to take another 509 mins at 24%

Does anyone else have this problem?

His right, I've had 40mb for a few weeks. Any information download from the pen takes AGES! Even small updates. On speedtests it hovers around 25mb on a wireless connection

Try setting up the PS3 in a DMZ zone. If you dont have the option then correctly configure your router. Have the following ports open:

TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080 and UDP: 3478, 3479.

I get full speeds on PSN network(VM), I also got full speeds when I was on Sky, But had to manually open the ports.

I did this yesterday, and it really improved the connection.

Mine tends to flucuate wildly. It took almost an entire day to download Deus Ex, but Dead Space 2 downloaded in about an hour. My PS3 is in the DMZ, but it doesn't really bother me as I just let it go overnight.

I'll give this a go as I get shocking download speeds even on 100mb connection rough wired LAN.

I've never had good speeds from PSN since the day I got my PS3. It took 7 minutes to download a 32Mb patch earlier, and the PS3 is DMZ'd.

Just done this and it is now going to take around an hour - thank you! :)
