680 gtx 2048mb or 4096mb for 50" plasma TV

If you're gaming on a 50" display, then you'll be to far away from the screen to notice the extra eye candy 4GB of VRAM might afford you anyway.

Defo the opposite IMO. Bigger screens = bigger pixels = bad IQ. You would need to turn up settings like AA to get a similar IQ to a 21 inch with a 50 inch. Smaller screens are much better.

Only artificially because you're sitting far away. The picture quality will be awful compared to a properly calibrated PC monitor. Not to mention input lag etc.

ah well keeps me happy (sony xbr8) but yeah its not a dell supersharp, input lag however is actually very good I think 20ms - 30ms greater than a crt in game mode, but unfortunatley this turns off the local dimming.

In gaming monitors the input lag and g2g is generally <5ms. That t.v will look good from 7ft away, I used one for 2 months myself.

GTX 670 is definitely a good card for the resolution but if you're looking to keep it a couple of years and not overclock the nuts off of it i'd go for a 2Gb GTX 680.

Depends on the game. 2gb should be fine, unless he's one of these people (like myself) who like running skyrim with various texture packs and other addons. If that's the case then he will likely experience choppiness due to texture swapping with a 2GB card.

With 670's so close and sometimes passing the 680's. I would stick with going for a 670.
