I think the wall thickness of the tube is too much, though the OD is spot on, the ID is smaller (11mm) than the 13mm the compression fitting needs, so when you but it on the barb, it'll stretch it out making the OD bigger than 16mm.

had the same problem with the same fittings Huddy though I was using white XSPC tubing.

iirc I ripped a large amount of skin from my finger trying to push and turn to get it to bite.

I had issues when I was doing my build a few months back, I just managed to get the thread started, I went with EK comp fittings in the end.

if your going for barbs google phobya aluminium clamps with a allen key to tighten available in black and polished they are the best clamps ive come across so much so i ordered 20 spares in case they stop making them and i want to do another build with barbs at anytime

these r mine

I had a similiar probelm today when redoing my loop (yes again lol), got some new tubing in white and on first try i could not tighten the ring over the compression fitting. Turns out it had somehow kinked the thread when i unscrewed it :s, no idea how tbh but it will only screw down about 2 turns before it stops dead.

Does OCUK do warranty on these fittings? It's an XSPC one bought not long ago, would love a replacement if you guys can sort me out.

Thanks
