Green Flag Breakdown Cover Question

Does anyone know if Green Flag have their own dedicated branded patrol vans like the RAC and AA do, or do they just subcontract to a local breakdown cover provider?

Both as far as I'm aware, I've had a couple of times where it has been a local breakdown service come to pick me up but I've also seen their vans driving about so it would seem to be a mix. It may depend on where you are in the country precisely which you receive.

Reading into it a bit more it seems that Green Flag rely on partner recoveries but I'm pretty sure I've seen a van or two of theirs driving around so I'm not sure what the odd van I've seen driving about is for, maybe it's more for advertising presence than real use.

Pretty sure they charge you the earth for that service though, regardless if if you are a member.

They do have their own vans & recovery vehicles but they also use local providers too. As for the fuel question, yes you would be covered and there is no charge for existing policyholders.

Much like the others here, I Passed one on the M4 yesterday so I can confirm they have branded vans but every time I've dealt with them in person it's been an unbranded local van.
