-- Corsair Vengeance C70 Thread --

Ahh, i remember seeing your build on the other forum you mentioned StonedRaider. Very nice.

Ahh, what's your BF3 / DayZ name then? :D

I don't want it to be "stealthy"...I put freaking red led fans in it.

Once I have my WC loop in there at end of the month I will also change the window for one without holes. If you want i'll do a build log of that as well. It's very easy. Just unscrew panel, use panel as size guide (but increase by 1cm) on some acrylic. Cut out and drill holes...Voila...He says, not having done it yet. But really. Is easy.

i dont play either xD i happened accross the thread via a google image search for vengeance c70 builds :D

Your future build plans sound good to me :)

Joe, you really don't want to drill holes like the current panel has since acrylic likes to easily snap when you drill it, a better idea is using double sided foam tape to stick it down :)

No fear KiiY, I am going to take it to my old work place and cnc it. I used to design & build sights for MOD projects...I can work with acrylic, glass, metal not a prob. I'm also making a backplate for my soundcard...Should be £35 to powdercoat it...OTT, just a bit :D

The case is epic! :)

I love it...and that...at the end of the day...Is what it's all about. Once I have splashed out on the water cooling I will get my mate with his DSLR over for some pro photo's.

What's a mid plate

I think its that mod some people do where they put a sheet of metal or coloured acrylic above the PSU to hide cables etc out of view through the window and create more of a focus on the core of the system. It wouldn't work with my case though as the window goes 1/2 of the way down the PSU.

Ahhhhhhhhhh cheers acme...

Upgrade path is.....
1. Watercooling loop
2. GPU block + extra Rad
3. New Piledriver CPU

Yes I know I should save up and get ROG intel but this handles BF3 and Premiere pro easily so why would I bother...

Piledriver? Surely it wont be worth it? The bulldozer 8 core was outbenched by an i3 2120 on most single threaded benchmarks, and outbenched by an i5 2400 on everything else

Once AMD, always AMD?

Oh now I know that Intel is better..and just works.

I have a special place in my heart for broken things

I wish I was being sarcy..I normally am.

Honestly tho, in this situation, I am being serious. AMD are MOAR than good enough for BF3, my Phenom II works fine, sure I might lose 2-5fps to intel but who cares about 2-5fps

My order..yes I know, I am getting a 2nd hand cpu block from a mate :D

Also THIS is my build log from start to not yet finished. Most of the WC is arriving tomorrow with the block coming Thursday.

Oh and yes, I have decided to go to the light side..although I'll have to wait a few months to get the Maximus Gene + 3570K
