Me either. Considering how little you can pick up a 15z with 1080p for from the very same outlet. Well worth the extra.

ok cool thanks for the help guys so you suggest the 15z instead then.

You have any other ideas for any laptop in general that will be good have around £500 max to grab one.

My 15z was £541 (inc VAT + Del) from the outlet, slightly over budget, but worth it in every single way over that Inspiron!

right i will an eye out for one that pops up then. Also just seen this any opinions on it

I would take that over the 15z, build quality on the Dell is suspect and the Sony has a better gfx card. Also games will run better at that native res

You say that, but the Dell build quality is great 90% of the time (my first 15z went back because of shoddy parts, but the 2nd has been spot on).

Also the 525M is the exact same card as the 540M, just clocked lower. My 525M in the 15z will happily run at above 540M speeds using EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner.

So with the Sony, in reality all you are getting is a far worse display.

Not so much the components mate sorry. I dont have firsthand experience so i could be wrong, but a guy on here was complaining a lot that the chassis didnt fit right and had a load of problems. Then i think it was an nbr review said the trim around side of case was sharp and was coming off after a few months use.
