Finally picked up a displayport to dvi adapter so the 22' can be used. Definitely missed having screen real estate since buying the MBP. The desk is pretty small but can't really complain for a student house.

Having differing screens for dual bugs me, so my MBP (and it's lovely 2880x1800 screen) stays shut in desktop mode!

Loads of people do still use IRC for various different applications. For example I popped onto one server the other day at work to get some information about a piece of open source software and why it wasn't working for me. Very quick response and I had working software in a matter of mins and a good chat with the developers.

Whilst it's cute now, I'd try to wean him out of the habit before he gets bigger and ends up pushing a monitor or two off the desk. My cat is a swine for not giving a flying **** what he disturbs so long as he gets where he's going.
